June Long Weekend!

I had the best time this weekend, it was so much fun and so FULL of activities! Firstly I met a new (old) friend. Sammy Ok so its not the best picture of her but here she is with Tina. Sam travelled over from Melbourne with her hubby to go out and party with us and party we did! But first I met up with Tina and we checked into the same hotel that I stayed at last time. We had a lovely room with a balcony and a massive bed (we booked twin beds but sharing a bed provided a lot of jokes and laughter) so we didn't mind too much. This is the view from our balcony! After meeting Sam and dumping our gear we went to the central market and had lunch. I totally recommend the Vietnamese food over there, its so yummy I am thinking of driving back in there next weekend for lunch!! There wasn't much time to relax (or shop) because we were meeting up with some other ww girls for coffee. Infact, they were waiting for us when we got back to the hotel.
Tania, Kaz and Martine met us for coffee. I had met Tania and Kaz before but not Martine and I must admit, I was very pleasantly surprised. Very talkative (like me) and very friendly, bubbly, upbeat and entertaining. I look forward to hearing more about her dating adventures! :o)This is a really bad photo but its the only one that I took of Martine. She has better ones on her blog. If you click on her name you can mosey on over to there. LOL.
Yet another bad photo. I only had a little camera with me, not my good one so the pics aren't great but this is Tina and Tania, deep in conversation.
Here we have our resident lesbian (love ya Kaz) getting all maternal with Tanias baby, Micheala (sp?)
Awwww so cute!! Kaz, I mean, not the baby. She how she is going for the hair flick? Ok so the baby is quite cute too. LOL.

After a very quick spa and a shower, we were off to the footy! Tina had me all kitted out in Port Power gear and we had layers of clothes on because we expected it to get very cold (it did) but we also had a secret weapon! We snuck vodka into the ground in plastic bottles. It was so funny, acting like an irresponsible teenager. We mixed it with soft drinks and by half time, were all quite merry. We bused it from the city to the footy and back again and that was very entertaining on the way home. I hope there are more pictures to come of us at the footy because Sam took lots on her camera that I intend to steal.

Tina and I on the bus and then going for the russian doll look when a shower of rain came over. Oh by the way, the power won so more reason to celebrate!
We went back to the hotel for a quick change and then headed over to the casino to meet up with Suz (visiting from Qld), Sonya, Shazzy and Dee.

Here is a lovely group shot of us all!! Notice the important people got to stand in the front. LOL.
Myself and the lovely, lovely Shazzy. I really like this pic although I do look slightly hammered in it.

After a good night at the casino, we headed over to the pancake kitchen. There were rumours of me eating pancakes but nope, I just had a damper roll (which was probably more calories then the pancakes LOL)

The morning after the night before, this is Tina, hiding from the camera in our massive bed and this is me, on the balcony, in my pj's, with bed hair, very hungover but happy to have spent a great weekend with good friends.

Oh and how did I go at weigh in? I lost 400 grams (which in Jo world is equivalent to 4 kilos) so I hope I have kept it off by next Thursday!! If not, no probs, there is ALWAYS next week.
Joanne.

Thanks for the kind words about me, needed a bit of a boost. I must admit to being a bit nervous meeting the girls, but had a great time. Hopefully catch up soon. Martine
